Bangladesh Climate Change Global Action Day (BCCGAD) was organized by Bangladesh Environment Network on Sept 18 (Friday), 2009. 

The day was marked by a rally in front of the UN with speakers and poetry.  Prior to the rally 10 BEN representatives from New York, Boston and Pennsylvania had an hour long meeting with the UN Director of Sustainable Development, Tariq Banuri, and hand delivered a memo to  Mr. Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General, United Nations. 

A folder containing a letter to the prime minister of Bangladesh was subsequently hand delivered to the visiting the Foreign Minister, Dr. Dipu Moni.
